The Senior Director of Medi-Cal will develop and lead the execution of the Medi-Cal Product Line segment strategic and tactical plan, regularly interfacing with key enterprise leaders and external stakeholders, advocates and community partners. The position understands the competitive landscape and overall member needs, delivery system, and regulatory/legislative environment impacting Medi-Cal. The Senior Director Medi-Cal ensures the company infrastructure can support the product, continually working with the product team and internal stakeholder partners to retain and grow membership, maintain product integrity and provide service excellence. The position collaborates with the Executive Director to ensure intake and prioritization process is developed and implemented for multi-year team initiatives and business strategy. The position works to align individual team member goals with department and enterprise goals and assesses competencies, professional development and performance management according to HR guidelines and requirements.

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

 

EDUCATION

Required:

Bachelor's Degree

 

Preferred:

Mater's Degree

In lieu of Degree, relevant experience may be considered.

 

EXPERIENCE

Required

With Bachelor's Degree: At least 8 years of experience in clinical or managed care plan experience; with 6+ years of supervisory/management experience, or at least 2 years of experience developing and leading the execution of the Medi-Cal Product Line segment strategic and tactical plan.

Experience in leading diverse teams.

Strong background or experience working with the Medi-Cal/Medicaid population.

 

Preferred:

With Master's Degree: At least 6 years of experience in clinical or managed care plan experience; with 6+ years of supervisory/management experience, or at least 2 years of experience developing and leading the execution of the Medi-Cal Product Line segment strategic and tactical plan.

 

Equivalent Experience:

With High School Diploma/GED: At least 16 years of experience in clinical or managed care plan experience; with 6+ years of supervisory/management experience, or at least 2 years of experience developing and leading the execution of the Medi-Cal Product Line segment strategic and tactical plan.

With Associate's Degree: At least 12 years of experience in clinical or managed care plan experience; with 6+ years of supervisory/management experience, or at least 2 years of experience developing and leading the execution of the Medi-Cal Product Line segment strategic and tactical plan.
