Job Summary


The Learning Experience Designer (LXD) II is responsible for collaborating with business partners to analyze business needs and to design learning solutions that have meaningful impact. This role works as part of a team that is responsible for the design and delivery of learning experiences, including Instructor-Led Training (virtual and in-person), eLearning, micro learning, and performance support, using a variety of learner engagement tools such as scenario-based, hands-on skills-based practice, storytelling, simulations, adaptive learning, and peer-to-peer interaction. The Learning Experience Designer II applies Adult Learning Principles and learning design methodologies, such as ADDIE, Human-Centered Design, reverse-engineering, and Agile, to create learner-centered, interactive, engaging experiences.

Duties

Performs needs analysis to determine knowledge and skills gaps.

Collaborates with subject matter experts, stakeholders, and leaders to understand business needs and recommends effective learning solutions.

Designs and develops creative, learner-centered learning experiences and programs, modules, and materials including ILT, VILT, simulations, microlearning, videos, interactive digital learning (eLearning) modules, job aids, participant and facilitator guides, case studies, infographics, and other related deliverables.

Designs storyboards and prototypes.

Partners with the LMS team for LMS implementation, tracking, and system reporting.

Partners with the Learning Program Manager to develop communication strategy.

Evaluates learning solutions through surveys, performance data, and other relevant metrics and reports on training effectiveness and ROI.

Facilitates virtual and in-person instructor-led training (including New Employee Orientation, New Manager Orientation, and Leadership Development) and conducts train-the-trainer sessions.

Stays up-to-date with current trends and best practices in Learning & Development, Instructional Design, and Learning Technologies.

 Collaborates with other learning professionals within the Learning Experience team and across the organization to share knowledge and best practices; participates in Communities of Practice.

Performs other duties as assigned. 

Education Required

Bachelor's Degree
In lieu of degree, equivalent education and/or experience may be considered.

Education Preferred

Master's Degree in Learning and Development or Related Field

Experience


Required:
A minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in designing, developing, and delivering in-person and online training courses.

Knowledge and experience with : Engagement tools, Adult Learning principles, Microsoft Office Suite, facilitation best practices for people development and business processes, and training technology that offers alternatives to in-person delivery such as Adobe Connect/Webex and other related tools.

Experience with online course development software, e.g., Articulate 360, Camtasia, Vyond, Adobe Creative Suite.

Preferred:
Experience working in a health care setting strongly preferred.  

Experience with SuccessFactors strongly preferred.
