Job Summary

Based at the Family Resource Center, Child Care Worker reports to the Center Administrator and is responsible for planning and implementing a program to care for young children. The Child Care provider will be respectful of children and parents, and ensure that equipment and facilities are clean, safe and well maintained. Failure to provide adequate services may place children at risk.


● Provide childcare to children age range from 4 years and up. Ensure children are supervised at all times.
Focus on the needs of the children. Take time to listen to them carefully and find out about their interests and expectations. (25%)

● Responsible for the length of childcare sessions, they shall correspond with the length of classes offered. Organize and store toys and materials to ensure order in activity areas. Sanitize toys and play equipment. Responsible that no children enter classrooms during class session. (25%)

● Childcare provider shall not engage in any verbal or physical confrontations with any participant, and will report any confrontations to the Supervisor. Responsible to contact parents of disruptive children, they will be asked to leave class to attend to their child(ren). Childcare provider  must report any injuries or accidents that happen at the FRC to the Supervisor immediately. Childcare provider  is a part of the FRC staff and will participate in FRC outreach events and help in preparations/logistics. (25%)

● Childcare provider hours are subject to change as needed by the FRC Staff/Center. Childcare provider  must wear the L.A. Care Polo shirt while working at the FRC. L.A Care, badge must be worn at all times while working at the Center. (15%)

● Perform other duties as assigned. (10%)


High School Diploma/GED

Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree


● With High School Diploma: 6mths to 1 year of Child Care experience.

Professional Licenses

Professional Certifications

Certification in CPR & First Aid (both infant/toddler & preschool aged children).
