Job Summary

The Community Outreach Liaison II assists with the monthly Regional Community Advisory Committee (RCAC) meeting coordination, the implementation of RCAC project work plans and participation in RCAC identified focused events. This position supports the Community Outreach Field Specialist and the RCAC with all administrative duties related to and including member campaigns and activities supporting the L.A. Care strategic initiatives. The Community Outreach Liaison II provides educational and outreach activities in the community to recruit new L.A. Care members across L.A. Care product lines, and new RCAC members and retain current L.A. Care members. Supports all transportation logistics for all Regional Community Advisory Committees, Coordinated Care Initiative Councils, and Health Promoter events.


All administrative duties associated with the planning, preparation, execution, delivery and follow-up of Regional Community Advisory Committee meetings. Includes but not limited to the following: Agenda and meeting document preparation; Member mailings and reminder calls; Member roster and attendance preparation; Member reimbursement/stipend preparation, check requests; Translation of member materials (as needed); Facilitate transportation services (as needed); Refreshments; Coordination of interpretation services; Secure meeting location and room preparation. Maintain and Monitor the new member application; Verify member eligibility for submission to ECAC and Board of Governors for approval; Periodically check members eligibility to ensure continued medical coverage; New RCAC member welcome calls and letter mail-outs. (25%)


Maintain and monitor the annual and periodic RCAC member recertification process; Train and prepare new RCAC members for effective meeting participation; Coordinate transportation and child-care services (as needed) to ECAC and RCAC  meetings and special events; Facilitation of elements of the RCAC meetings. (25%)


Participate in RCAC sponsored community health fairs; Support occasional Community Outreach & Education special projects. (5%)

Education Required
High School Diploma/or High School Equivalency Certificate
Education Preferred
Associate's Degree

At least 0-2 years of experience in administrative support in an office setting including extensive computing, data management and documentation.


Experience with community groups, where diverse racial, ethnic and cultural components impact programming and interpersonal relations.


Prior experience with programs and database such as ACT, MHC and CSIM.
