Job Summary

The Community Resource Representative (CRC) II reports directly to the CRC Manager. The representative greets all customers, internally and externally, in person or on the telephone; and directs calls, arranges contact with appropriate Center staff, coordinates meetings and Center's activities with the Center Manager, and provides customer service to L.A. Care members with questions regarding membership and benefits.

The position supports all administrative functions for the Center, maintains the Center's schedule and all Center's files and records. Assists the manager with special projects/ assignments. Generates reports, graphs, spreadsheets and flow charts. Assists with preparing documentation/ correspondence for all projects and activities. Manages the quality and accuracy of the Center's section of the L.A. Care website. Monitors supplies inventory, and coordinates Center needs with other L.A. Care departments. Maintains organized and quality records for the Center. Processes, monitors, and researches all Purchase Orders and Purchase Requisitions paperwork. Maintains workshop attendance, visitation logs and monthly activity calendar.

This position will also perform various functions at the Center to assist members and customers with resolution of issues, educating members, customer and community on navigating the health care system, coordination of new member welcome calls, answers customer service-related questions, supports enrollment efforts. Triages member issues and grievances internally to the appropriate department for resolution.

Duties

Greet visitors and guests to the Center; triages phone calls and visitors coming into the Center to appropriate party. (25%)

Administrative support:  Assist manager with special projects/ assignments. Generate reports, graphs, spreadsheets and flow charts. Assist with preparing documentation/ correspondence for all projects and activities. Maintain organized and quality records for the Center. (25%)

Maintain workshop attendance and visitation logs. Ensures accuracy of Center calendar of events and makes relevant changes as needed. (25%)

Assist members and customers with resolution of issues and answers customer service related questions and process member changes and document accordingly. (15%)

Perform other duties as assigned (10%)

Required:
At least 0-6 months receptionist experience in a multicultural environment.

Demonstrated proficiency with MS Word and Excel.

Requires dependability, strong computer skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to multi-task and prioritize.

Strong knowledge of heath care and various managed care product lines (Medi-Cal, Healthy Families).

Strong knowledge of medical terminology.

Preferred:
Bilingual in one of L.A. Care Health Plan’s threshold languages is highly desirable. English, Spanish, Chinese, Armenian, Arabic, Farsi, Khmer, Korean, Russian, Tagalog, Vietnamese.
