Job Summary

The Cultural and Linguistic Services Program Manager II is responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of L.A. Care's Cultural and Linguistic services and programs to support strategic goals of the organization. Responsibilities include: Development/identification, implementation, and evaluation of C&L programs and services with internal stakeholders, Plan Partners, regulatory agencies, and members and providers; Development and implementation of Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS) and CLAS interventions; Securing National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) Multicultural Health Care Distinction; Implementation of local and statewide interventions to address health disparities with internal and external stakeholders; Provision of technical expertise to internal and external partners.

Duties

Monitor and oversee delegated subcontractors (i.e., Plan Partners, specialty plans, vendors, PPGs) through audits, reports, etc.

 

Conduct research, analyze data, and produce reports on C&L services and programs. Manage multiple projects to support organizational initiatives and priorities (i.e., CLAS, NCQA Multicultural healthcare distinction, health disparities). 

 

Oversee C&L training plan (i.e., developing, conducting, and evaluating training/education programs). Provide technical assistance to internal staff, providers, and delegated subcontractors.   

 

Facilitate/participate in committee/team/work group meetings to gain clear understanding of member needs and coordinate events for internal and external stakeholders.

 

Perform other duties as assigned. 

Education Required

Bachelor's Degree in Public Health or Related Field
In lieu of degree, equivalent education and/or experience may be considered.

Education Preferred

Experience

Required:
At least 5 years of experience in a project management/coordinator experience in health care environment.

 

At least 3 years of experience in a lead/supervisory role.

Skills

Required:
Superb knowledge with Microsoft Office Suite.

 

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

 

Detail oriented and able to produce high quality work.

 

Highly analytical and able to solve difficult problems.

 

Preferred:

Bilingual in one of L.A. Care Health Plan’s threshold languages is highly desirable. English, Spanish, Chinese, Armenian, Arabic, Farsi, Khmer, Korean, Russian, Tagalog, Vietnamese.
