Job Summary

A key member of a cross-functional communications team, the Digital Developer II will implement business requirements and code-related changes on all L.A. Care digital properties, proactively troubleshoot and resolve production defects, and serve as a source of technical expertise in developing and implementing dynamic, responsive digital applications for our varied users.

Duties

Custom programming and web application development for Drupal, including testing, maintenance, quality assurance testing and troubleshooting of existing company sites; integrating websites with existing applications on campus or third-party/open-source platforms; and leading and advancing our growing Drupal practice in compliance with accessibility regulations.

 

Provide technical knowledge and participates in implementation phase on all client projects. Ensure technical solutions (including but not limited to ones from third parties or that are open source) are properly architected and specified, and review all code for quality assurance purposes.

 

Assist in the creation of innovative solutions in order to achieve departmental and enterprise goals; Proactively respond to unanticipated business requirements and priorities in a cost effective manner; Prioritize and complete project milestones on time and within budget.

Education Required

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Related Field
In lieu of degree, equivalent education and/or experience may be considered.

Experience

Required:
At least 3-5 years of experience working with Drupal.

Skills


Required:

Self starter, ability to work with minimal supervision.


Knowledge of SEO coding best practices; comfortable integrating websites with other web applications and systems, both commercial and open source. 

 

Equally skilled at working collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

 

Have practical, hands-on skills with relevant technical platforms and languages and a proactive approach toward developing solutions.

 

Comfortable working in a collaborative environment with Specialists, Supervisors, Designers, and other Developers.
