Job Summary
The Facilities Services Operations Manager works closely with the Deputy Chief Human Resources Officer (DCHRO), the facilities leadership team and other key stakeholders on day-to-day operational activities and special projects. This position supports the DCHRO and contributes to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the Facilities department. This position is responsible for planning financial and operational activities for the DCHRO, creating complex correspondences including Board memos and motions, and providing content-specific briefings and summaries. This position organizes, problem solves, raises issues and integrates initiatives, solutions and actions for the DCHRO. Additionally, this role leads, plans and implements specific projects to assist the DCHRO achieve organizational goals and objectives.
Duties
This position is a resource to CHRO, DCHRO and other senior leaders in Facilities, monitoring the day-to-day operational activities, mentoring, training, and cross-training of staff, responds to questions or issues, reviews recommendations for enhancements to processes and procedures. Create new or updates and implement processes and procedures as necessary.
Manage complex projects, engage and update key stakeholders, develop timelines, lead others to complete deliverables on time and ensure implementation upon approval. Collaborates with identified staff from various departments and work jointly to effectively conduct research, develop related materials, present ideas, and complete projects.
Plan and implement systems and procedures to maximize operating efficiency and achieve strategic priorities.
Coordinate the annual policy and procedure review, desktop procedure review and collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs).
Prepare and review reports, memos, correspondence and presentations as requested. Produce reports and coordinate information for audits as needed.
Manage recurring facilities leadership and senior leadership team meetings, setting agendas and ensuring follow-through on obligations and requirements.
Review and provide feedback on materials before they are submitted to the DCHRO.
Establish and maintain working relationships across the organization. Interact with staff and management to stay abreast of organizational concerns and needs and communicate feedback to the DCHRO and leadership team.
Prepare organized and concise briefings for the DCHRO on projects related to strategy and business transformation.
Communicate DCHRO priorities and feedback to key staff members.

Experience
Required:
At least 5 years of work experience in a health care environment or a related field, which includes problem solving, executive level support, policy development, and/or project implementation.

Bilingual in one of L.A. Care Health Plan’s threshold languages is highly desirable. English, Spanish, Chinese, Armenian, Arabic, Farsi, Khmer, Korean, Russian, Tagalog, Vietnamese
