Job Summary

The Health Equity Liaison II will assist in the operations of the L.A. Care Team Council, which is made up of L.A. Care employees. Additionally, the Liaison will assist with administrative functions such as assisting with the budget for the department, managing department activities such as all-staff meetings and creating and managing numerous intakes for the various units across L.A. Care for projects including organizational-wide Podio, Cultural & Linguistics translation services, and data requests from QPM, HIM and Member Services.

Duties


Supports the L.A. Care Team Council, including working with various stakeholders, creating content, tracking and monitoring progress toward achievement and introducing a communication strategy. (25%)

 

Tracks Equity budget spending, coordinates with finance department as needed for projects, reimbursements and questions. (5%)

 

Submits intakes and monitors progress for requests from Podio, Cultural & Linguistics translation services, and data requests from QPM, HIM and Member Services. (5%)

 

Writes and disseminates work plans and project documents as needed, including procedures, proposals, progress reports and presentations. Serves as liaison between the Councils and the business units. Uses analytical ability to identify and track new opportunities. (20%)

 

Assists in creating and disseminating health equity and disparities training and information to staff in collaboration with L.A. Care Team Council. (15%)

 

Assists with identifying opportunity establishing and managing partnerships with external organizations specifically to advance L.A. Care’s internal equity efforts. (20%)

 

Performs other duties as assigned. (10%)

Education Required

High School Diploma/or High School Equivalency Certificate
In lieu of degree, equivalent education and/or experience may be considered.

Education Preferred

Experience

Required:
A minimum of 0-2 years of experience of administrative support, preferably in healthcare environment.

 

Experience with supporting the department's programs and projects.

Skills

Required:
Demonstrated ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot all project issues in a timely manner.

 

Excellent interpersonal skills to work alongside other project employees to meet all client specifications and requirements.

 

Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills.

 

Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software tools.
