Job Summary

The Health Services Training Project Manager II will be reporting directly to the Manager, Health Services Training. This position is responsible for the administration of day-to-day operations of an assigned portfolio of Health Services departments and/or projects  including but not limited to supporting the Manager and making recommendations in the strategic planning, initiation, tracking, management, evaluation, and development of key Health Services training needs. This position is responsible for the facilitation, revision, and updates of existing and the development of new policies and procedures as it relates to Health Services Training. The position is responsible for conducting a Health Services training needs assessment and assist in the development of a training program based on the needs of all of their assigned Health Services departments. This position will communicate closely with the Manager of Health Services Training and Director of Provider Support Services to ensure consistency and standardization of the training program across Health Services. This position will be open to additional projects in support of their assigned health services departments and organizational strategic initiatives as assigned by the Manager, Health Services Training and/or Director of Provider Support Services.

Duties

Administer day-to-day operations of an assigned portfolio and/or projects of the health services departments to include but not limited to develops, manages project plans and schedules, budget resources, project artifacts and supports centralized document repository. Identifies, tracks and mitigates risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies; provides timely status reports and proactively escalates issues for resolution; performs project reviews and drives continued progress for project success. Supports in strategic planning, tracking, management, annual evaluation of training program, and development of key Health Services training needs. Maintains confidentiality in compliance with all HIPAA requirements. Communicates to Manager and/or Director any barriers to completing assignments or daily work in an efficient and effective manner. Supports L.A. Care’s Mission, Vision, and Values in daily performance.

 

Facilitate, develop, revise, and update training materials for their assigned portfolio of Health Services department as it relates to the initiative and goals of the Health Services department. Assess, update, revise, gather, and track existing training materials and the development of new policies and procedures, workflows, etc. as it relates to Health Services Training. Develops, maintains, and implements departmental policies and procedures.

 

Conduct a Health Services training needs assessment and develop, maintain, and evaluate the effectiveness of a standardized training program based on the needs of all of their assigned Health Services departments.  Communicate closely with the Manager of Health Services Training and/or Director of Provider Support Services to ensure consistency and standardization of the training program across Health Services.  Leads, coordinates, and prepares for various meetings as it relates to Health Services training of assigned Health Services departments as necessary and appropriate. Meets with business owners and unit staff, management, third party contractors/vendors, cross-functional project team members and other department resources at least weekly or as needed to ensure effective management and momentum of projects, as well as organizational strategic initiatives.

Education Required

Bachelor's Degree in Health Administration or Related Field
In lieu of degree, equivalent education and/or experience may be considered.

Education Preferred

Master's Degree in Related Field

Experience

Required:
A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in project management, designing, developing, and delivering in person and online training courses.

 

Basic work experience utilizing Project Management Life Cycle (PMLC), System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Quality Assurance (QA) methodology standards and best practices.

 

Demonstrated experience in the development of requirements, specifications, design, process/flow Diagrams, test and implementation plans.

 

Experience in business process and cost benefit analysis.

 

Knowledge and experience with eLearning tools and internet technology, including in-depth proficiency in MS PowerPoint, Articulate Storyline, SCORM, Adobe Captivate, or other rapid eLearning and video development software/tools is required.

 

Preferred:
Knowledge and experience with Adobe Flash.
