Job Summary

The Identity Access Management (IAM) Administrator III is responsible for the daily administration, monitoring, and optimization of identity and access management systems across the enterprise. This position supports secure user provisioning, de-provisioning, access reviews, and enforcement of Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and conditional access policies.

 

The IAM Administrator is responsible for the implementation and ongoing support of the Saviynt Identity Governance platform, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks such as Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Health Information Trust Alliance (HITRUST), and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). This position is critical to protecting sensitive data and enabling secure access to enterprise systems and applications.

 

Acts as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), serves as a resource and mentor for other staff.

Duties

Create, modify, and delete user accounts as needed, ensuring proper access levels are assigned and revoked in a timely manner. Administer solutions that integrate IAM systems with in-house and third-party applications, developing automation scripts to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.

 

Define, implement, and maintain access controls, including role-based access control (RBAC), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and conditional access policies across various systems, applications, cloud and on-prem environments.

 

Administer and maintain IAM lifecycle processes including provisioning, de-provisioning, and access certification. Manage and maintain IAM systems and tools, troubleshoot access-related incidents, and function as a point of escalation. Monitor IAM systems for anomalies, policy violations, and access risks.

 

Apply subject matter expertise in evaluating business operations and processes. Identify areas where technical solutions would improve business performance. Consult across business operations, provide mentorship, and contribute specialized knowledge. Ensure that the facts and details are correct so that the program's deliverable meets the needs of the department, organization and legislation's policies, standards, and best practices. Provide training and recommend process improvements as needed.

 

Create and maintain system documentation and procedures. Contribute to the IAM strategy, research industry best practices, and advocate for secure computing. Enforce security policies, conduct access reviews, and ensure the organization meets compliance and regulatory requirements.

 

Maintain documentation of IAM processes, configurations, and policies. Support compliance initiatives through access control audits and reporting. Assist in audits and access reviews to ensure compliance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Health Information Trust Alliance (HITRUST), and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) standards. 

 

Support the implementation and configuration of the Saviynt Identity Governance platform.

 

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure access controls meet regulatory requirements.

 

Provide Tier 2 and 3 support for IAM-related incidents and service requests. Participate in IAM-related projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Education Required

Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or Related Field
In lieu of degree, equivalent education and/or experience may be considered.

Education Preferred

Master's Degree in Information Security or Related Field

Experience

Required:

At least 7 years of experience in IAM administration and advanced experience using IAM tools in complex environments.

 

Experience with IAM platforms such as Saviynt, Azure AD, or Okta.

 

Preferred:

Experience in the healthcare payer industry.

 

Experience supporting regulatory audits and compliance initiatives.

Skills

Required:

Strong understanding and working knowledge of RBAC, MFA, and access certification processes.

 

In-depth knowledge of IAM platforms and technologies.

 

Expertise in authentication and authorization protocols.

 

Proficiency in scripting languages.

 

Familiarity with cloud platforms 

 

Strong analytical and complex problem-solving abilities.

 

Strong time management and organizational skills.

 

Effective communication skills including verbal, written and presentation; speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations.

 

Ability to work independently and provide leadership within a team environment.

 

Ability to produce deliverables and tasks on time.
