Job Summary

This Lead Quality Configuration Technical Analyst is responsible for managing the quality assurance of complex core and surrounds system configurations, health plan implementations, and conversions.  Primary responsibilities include the accurate interpretation of specific regulatory and/or business requirements and industry best practices, and facilitation of high quality testing of configuration of the core and surround systems.  

 

The Lead will drive testing activities (including planning/coordination of resources, environments, etc. and the related reports), identify opportunities for improvement, suggest ways to bridge the gap between inter-dependent departments, and support support systems integration and business process activities that utilize configuration as part of the end-to-end solution to meet business requirements. 

 

The Lead will work with and mentor people of various professional, vocational, and educational backgrounds.

Duties


Provide oversight for the development of test documentation and test strategies as needed for projects. Oversee the test planning activities such as writing master test plan, test reports, status reports, and project related reports. Prepare reports related to testing activities. 

 

Oversee the development of test cases and execution of test cases / automated test scripts. Execute ad hoc testing as necessary. Coordinate testing activities such as identify test scope, test data, test resources and test environments. Ensure the completeness of requirements for the design and implementation of system business solutions. Must be familiar with Systems Applications and Products (SAP).

 

Attend and collaborate in cross-functional meetings to develop, document and recommend system solutions. Participates in solution design by preparing and evaluating alternative solutions.

  

Mentor and train team members, providing guidance and solutions to system users and technical resources. Provides technical advice on business impact and opportunities. Creates and develops training documentation and presentations.

Bachelor's Degree
In lieu of degree, equivalent education and/or experience may be considered.

Experience

Required:
At least 5-7 years of system testing/quality assurance experience in Claims, Health Services/Population Health and/or related health plan system(s) with 3 years of healthcare operations experience.

Skills

Required:
Extensive knowledge of Claims and Health Services/Population Health Systems.


 
Extensive knowledge of and experience with Medicare and Medicaid rules and regulations and related core and surround systems code and data sets, etc.

 

Extensive quality assurance and EDI experience in the health care industry.

 

Requires excellent analytical, organization and communication skills.

 

Requires in-depth knowledge understanding of the system development life cycle (SDLC).

 

Ability to understand a customer's business needs and translate needs into specific requirements. 

 

Ability to plan and account for configuration impacts across business processes and applications. 

 

Demonstrated ability to collaborate with other members of formal and informal groups in the pursuit of common missions, vision, values and mutual goals.
