Job Summary

The Managed Long-Term Services and Supports (MLTSS) Program Specialist II is actively engaged in all facets of MLTSS operational, strategic and system related initiatives. The Program Specialist supports MLTSS department’s needs by organizing ongoing programs and process improvement efforts, providing operational and program support, essential building of pieces of program efforts as required by federal, state and organizational guidelines.

The Specialist is responsible for the training and education of both internal and external audiences. This position ensures that deliverables are completed and on time by conducting thorough follow-up and holding stakeholders accountable to deliver tasks on time.

Duties

Supports initiatives and monitoring of program deliverables as assigned in collaboration with senior level positions and management as appropriate.

Builds cross-functional relationships and partnerships across the organization as appropriate and needs to complete programs assigned timely and within scope.

Maintains and monitors accurate working knowledge of Program contracts, regulations, and requirements and ensures responsible parties are compliant with requirements by conducting quality control and reporting activities.

Updates and develops departmental materials (i.e. Job Aids, Reference Guides, Correspondence, Presentations, Desktop Procedures and Policies) accurately and on time by partnering with Subject Matter Experts, Legal, Compliance and stakeholders within MLTSS and other departments as appropriate.

Conducts process improvement and research activities in areas such as customer satisfaction and best practices. Utilizes data reports to identify gaps, discrepancies and trends.

Provides training on appropriate topics or finds resources to conduct training and evaluates the effectiveness of the training using defined metrics and evaluation tools, post-test or observation.

Represents L.A. Care at community events, community meetings and health fairs sponsored by L.A. Care and outside organizations.

Plans, coordinates and organizes meetings and/or events to include developing meeting summaries/minutes, issues logs, etc. Prepares agendas for meetings.

Associate's Degree

Bachelor's Degree
In lieu of degree, equivalent education and/or experience may be considered.

Experience

Required:

At least 2 years of demonstrated experience working with low economic status populations, and diverse communities in settings such as community-based organizations, social service agencies or civic organizations.

At least 2 years of program coordination experience or process improvement.

Experience in document management, transcription, and other administrative procedures.

Preferred:

Training delivery and/or design experience.
