Job Summary

The Manager, Enterprise Compliance is responsible for supporting the effective operation of the organization’s compliance framework. This position focuses on implementing and maintaining compliance policies and procedures and managing the governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) system to meet regulatory and organizational requirements.

 

The Manager oversees the exclusion monitoring process and ethics and civil rights reporting channels to ensure timely and appropriate handling of concerns. The position also provides regular reporting and collaborates with other departments to address identified issues.

 

The position includes coordinating compliance communications, preparing materials for internal committees and the Board of Governors. The Manager manages all aspects of running an efficient team, including hiring, supervising, coaching, training, disciplining, and motivating direct reports.

 

Participates and make recommendation on the department's strategic planning and/or long-term decision-making.

Duties

Implement and maintain processes that support the organization’s compliance framework. Coordinate with key stakeholders across the organization to ensure consistent and efficient execution of compliance activities.

 

Manages complex projects, engaging and updating key stakeholders, developing timelines, leads others to complete deliverables on time and ensures implementation upon approval. Responsible for reporting, budgeting, and policy implementation.

 

Translate regulatory updates into practical steps for implementation. Oversight of organizational requirements which includes enterprise compliance with training requirements.

 

Manage the review, communication, and escalation of organizational policies and procedures, ensuring they are accurate and current.

 

Work with business units to support compliance with regulatory requirements.

 

Administer the GRC program to support effective documentation, tracking, and reporting of compliance activities. Ensure cross-functional coordination for timely issue resolution and follow-up.

 

Oversee the exclusion monitoring process, ensuring accurate and timely results and documentation. Maintain current knowledge of regulatory requirements related to exclusion activities.

 

Manage the intake, tracking, and resolution of ethics and civil rights concerns. Prepare regular reporting to support transparency and accountability.

 

Support internal communication efforts related to compliance initiatives.

 

Prepare reports, presentations, and other materials for internal committees and the Board of Governors.

Duties Continued

Manages staff and the day-to-day activities in the department. Participates in the department budgeting process. Responsible for scheduling, training, performance, corrective actions, mentoring, developing of the team(s). Foster and promote a culture of transparency, continuous improvement, accountability, and shared ownership of enterprise goals. Education Required

Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration or Related Field
In lieu of degree, equivalent education and/or experience may be considered.

Education Preferred

Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration or Related Field

Experience

Required:

At least 5 years of experience in compliance or a related role within healthcare or another highly regulated industry.

 

At least 3 years of experience in leading, supervising and/or managing staff.

Bilingual in one of L.A. Care Health Plan’s threshold languages is highly desirable. English, Spanish, Chinese, Armenian, Arabic, Farsi, Khmer, Korean, Russian, Tagalog, Vietnamese
