Job Summary

The Senior Advisor Cloud Architecture and Engineering is responsible for L.A. Care’s overall cloud architecture strategy and roll-out execution. In this role, the incumbent will play a strategic role in implementing and maintaining all cloud systems including the front-end platforms, servers, storage and management networks.

Duties

Create a well-informed cloud strategy and manage the implementation and adoption process.

 

Regularly evaluate cloud applications, hardware and software for fit and alignment to L.A. Care’s broader Enterprise Architecture framework.

 

Develop and organize cloud systems.

 

Work closely with IT Security to implement and monitor L.A. Care’s cloud privacy standards.

 

Respond to, and address, technical issues in a professional and timely manner.

 

Offer guidance in infrastructure movement techniques including bulk application transfers into the cloud.

 

Identify top cloud architecture solutions and platforms to successfully meet the strategic needs of L.A. Care.

 

Manage and balance work and assignments of cloud engineers in direct reporting hierarchy.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Education Required

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering or Related Field
In lieu of degree, equivalent education and/or experience may be considered.

Education Preferred

Master's Degree in Computer Engineering or Related Field

Experience


Required:
At least 8 years of experience designing, executing and supporting IT cloud solutions.

 

Experience designing and transferring applications to the cloud.

 

Strong experience of collaborating and leading advanced technical resources.
