Job Summary
The Supervisor, Commercial Cash Management and Revenue is responsible for all commercial LOBs, overseeing the team responsible for Cash Posting activities for all system applications from bank accounts to SAP postings from various Core systems daily through month end. This position oversees the activities of the Revenue received by L.A. Care from Various payors.
The Supervisor will review and provide team training as it relates to SAP/ Bank reconciliations, returns and refunds, revenue reconciliation, premium billing reconciliations, ensuring enrollment/disenrollment policies and procedures are correctly implemented, review all related journal entries, review heavy account analysis, review daily and month-end reconciliations and preparation and review of financial reporting tools and audit schedules.
The Supervisor interfaces and serves as a liaison with multiple internal departments and external contacts. The position supervises all aspects of running an efficient team, including hiring, supervising, coaching, training, disciplining, and motivating direct-reports.
Duties
Supervise staff , including, but not limited to: monitoring of day to day activities of staff, monitoring of staff performance, mentoring, training, and cross-training of staff, handling of questions or issues, etc. raised by staff, encourage staff to provide recommendations for relevant process and systems enhancements, among others.
Oversee the Cash Posting activities for all LOB system applications from bank accounts to SAP various core systems and data bases daily through month end, will include returns and refund approval. Communicate abnormalities with Treasury department and/or SAP consultants.
Oversee the team activity and preparation of reconciliations of multiple commercial LOB revenue streams and enrollment, such as 834 and 820. Ensure disenrollment policy and procedures are practiced and monitored for accuracy.
Review multiple billing reconciliations and analysis of multiple payer streams.
Review the accurate maintaining of multiple databases/schedules to track contract rate changes and ensure correct rate adjustment.
Review accurate regulatory requirements interpretation. Work with various payer agencies to ensure accurate implementation of policies and procedures.
Review month end reporting management tools for accuracy of analysis and ensure delivery in a timely manner.
Review the prepared and ensure the accuracy of Journal Entries as they relate to the General Ledger and the prepared supporting analysis, reconciliations and audit schedules.
Train and provide guidance the team to enable them to master the QNXT, SAP and other required data bases to ensure accuracy in the produced product.

Required:
At least 5 years of experience in a healthcare setting.
At least 3 years of supervisory/management experience.
At least 5 years of experience in a managed healthcare setting (HMO and IPA).

Strong accounting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills, oral and written.
Excellent data management/ database skills.
Must have advanced PC Skills (Excel, Word, Access) ASP, and SQL.
Demonstrate leadership skills.
Knowledge and understanding of state laws and regulations affecting insurance practices.
Preferred:
Medi-Cal or Medicare or Covered Ca knowledge.
QNXT/SAP application knowledge.
