Job Summary

As the student intern enters the company, this position is expected to assume, as much as possible, the role of a regular staff member. 

Duties

Assists with specialized project and administrative tasks to ensure the coordination and completion of all segments of the assigned project. Compiles and consolidates reports and prepares presentation based on findings or outcomes.

Being consistent and punctual in the submission of all work assignments to the supervisor and faculty coordinator.

 

Provides the faculty coordinator with periodic progress reports.

 

Performs other relevant duties as assigned.

Education Required

Must be enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate degree and field placement program.

Internship Summary

•    As a key member of the Community Resource Center (CRC) team, the Intern will report directly to the CRC Manager. The Intern is responsible for representing L.A. Care and the CRC network mission and vision by providing quality and positive customer experience to health plan members and non-member visitors from the community that attend health education and fitness classes, member and enrollment services, and telehealth. 
•    The Intern will help support administrative functions that fall under the CRC Specialist II (30%), and special projects/assignments assigned by the CRC Manager and CRC Specialist III (70%).

Qualifications
•    Must be enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate degree and field
•    placement program.
•    Junior or Senior at the start of the program
•    Available to work in-person at the Center.
•    Available to work 20 hours per week during the defined Intern
•    Creative thinker with strong communication and research skills and attention to detail
•    Interest in immersive Communications and community outreach work
•    Self-starter with a hands-on, proactive way of thinking and working.
•    Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
•    Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.), Google
•    Workplace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.) and design tools (Canva, CapCut, etc.).
